Leaf Studios are inviting all local artists & creatives to contribute an artwork
to our 2026 annual community exhibition:
“Ancient Wisdom – Tales of the Trees”
Opening on Saturday 20th of June and closing on Sunday 19th of July.
Following is our general exhibiting information, please read carefully:
1. All entries must be original and not subject to copyright in any form.
2. Most mediums will be accepted with a size limit of A4 (21 x 29.5cm) including the frame. We will not be accepting artworks larger than this as we have limited space. Sculptors/3D artists please let us know what you have in mind so we can make sure we have the right setup for it.
Unfortunately, we do not have facilities to be able to accept audio-visual art.
We have a gallery hanging system and you are also welcome to use blu-tack or hooks as long as they are removable. Works of words are also welcome - such as poems, stories and lyrics.
3. Each work submitted will incur a $15 entry fee. If the work sells, we charge a 15% commission of the artist’s selling/wall price on all works. Work does not need to be for sale- this is optional. All fees go towards costs of handling and processing any sales as well as supporting other exhibitions in the future!
Payment on sold works minus the 15% commission will occur the month after the show concludes (earlier if possible, however our accounting is done monthly) It is the artist’s responsibility to work out their own need for an ABN or if to charge GST on the piece.
4. Application to be submitted online by Friday12th June and artworks to be delivered during opening hours between Tuesday 9th June - Sunday the 14th of June.
Artists delivering work by post or courier must cover the costs of return postage & handling if work is not sold. All works are to remain at Leaf Studios in Kallista for the duration of the exhibition.
5. Any changes to artwork applications need to be emailed and confirmed prior to exhibition launch date.
6. We will take every precaution to handle all works with care, however, cannot be held responsible for occurrences beyond our control- we cannot offer insurance on your works, and cannot be held liable for any stolen, broken, or damaged pieces while in our care.
7. We reserve the right to photograph all pieces exhibited to use these photographs for publicity only.
8. We reserve the right to choose not to hang any works that we feel are inappropriate. (for example, but not limited to racism, sexism, homophobia)
