Quiltmaker’s Statement:

The ancient image of the Green Man is believed to symbolise the cycle of life, death and rebirth. Representing growth each spring, seasonal renewal and ecological awareness.

He has been represented in the mythology of many cultures throughout the ages around the world and is often related to nature’s deities evolving into the wide variety of examples found throughout history.

My depiction of an Australian bush green man is intended to remind us that our natural world is living and always watching.
